whs LIFE SCIENCES ag (whs ag) identifies opportunities and provides long-term growth capital for emerging midsize companies in the Life Sciences markets.
The following selection criteria will be applied:
Focus on sectors where whs ag offers long-standing expertise:
whs ag prefers to run and invest in activities with product and/or service offerings in Life Sciences, where whs ag has the capability to support the management with "words and deeds", ie strategically and, where necessary, operationally.
Cash flow positive:
Target activities should have a robust and improvable cash flow. Turnaround situations are conceivable, but only with security assurances by the seller or financing banks.
Promising organic growth potential:
Target activities have relevant organic growth potential, to be implemented also by the special expertise and network of whs ag.
External growth potential:
The perspective of external growth, i.e. by M&A, is not excluded to provide the company with additional growth or geographical presence.
Entrepreneurial management team:
Investment opportunities are preferred in partnership with an experienced CEO, who is ready to co-invest significantly.
Foreseeable exit:
Finally, the long-term perspective of growth is the main target and important requirement for a financial commitment. whs ag mainly invests its own funds, but offers third-party investors, preferably the management, the possibility to participate in the single companies.
